The shop also offers a variety of fun classes such as T-Shirt Quilt Construction, Hand Piecing, and Beginning Machine Quilting.
Fair & Square Imports
Fair & Square Imports is dedicated to helping end poverty by only purchasing goods from small-scale artisans, farmers, co-ops, and non-profits throughout the world’s developing nations. The products currently come from more than forty countries and include bracelets, musical instruments, and stationery.
Celts Irish Pub
This pub has a colorful history as it was home to a brothel in the 1800s, and today it is one of the stops along the Legends of McKinney Ghost Walk. The owner has traced his ancestry back to County Limerick, Ireland, and he visits a few times a year. He also makes sure that the pub always offers a vibrant atmosphere, and delicious meals such as shepherd’s pie, Smithwick’s beer battered fish & chips, and bangers & mash.
The Pantry Restaurant
Located in the old Hope Hardware building, The Pantry takes visitors back in time. Constructed in 1881, the building still has its original brick walls and wood floors, which according to the restaurant, feature numbers for measuring goods like rope and chain. The cooks prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and depending on the time of day, meals may include flapjacks, homemade chili, and veggie burgers.
