It may be far from the rolling vineyards of Tuscany but when it comes to wine venues, spots near Marquette at Preston Park apartments are anything but ripe with sour grapes. There are lots of places to enjoy the best that international wine regions have to offer and most are in plain sight. To see for yourself, make plans to join us downtown this November.
Stop by the Downtown Plano Art & Wine Walk with everyone else the evening of Thursday, November 10th. The event’s bottle and brush soaked activities are expected to start around dinner time, at 5 p.m. They’ll likely last three hours but you’re welcome to stay downtown longer and drink up the area’s night life.
There are a number of wine bars and restaurants in the area that typically offer live entertainment. You’ll find several within The Shops at Legacy, including the Blue Martini. If you’ve never been, it’s a hopping place that boasts a youthful vibe, live music nightly and some of the best Italian wines around. At last check, they had everything from Ecco Domani wines to Santa Margherita.
During the publicized event, there is an admission fee to sip and stroll through the downtown area’s offerings. The good news is advance tickets for groups of Plano Texas apartment residents are cheaper than the singles. So you’ve got time to round up your Marquette at Preston Park neighbors and save some cash, which could be turned around and used to buy some more wine.
We know you’ll be tempted to put on the ritz for this lovely affair but resist the urge to wear tall heels or clunky dress shoes. There is a lot of walking involved with this event and we wouldn’t want anyone to go home with blistered feet or swollen ankles. Also, consider wearing something with pockets or bring along a carryall. You’re going to need it in order to tote around the event’s map and passport for the evening.
You’ll receive those items after completing the ticket sale process. To learn more about the Downtown Plano Art & Wine Walk and perhaps get a group together, please contact the Marquette at Preston Park staff today.Back to all posts
