Are you an art connoisseur? If so, you won’t want to miss a visit to the Great American West Gallery. This popular gallery features the work of the best Western and wildlife artists from the 19th to the 21st centuries.
It also used to house the Tarrant County State Bank and even served as the headquarters of the Grapevine Sun Newspaper for 63 years. Most importantly, the gallery is located less than 40 minutes from Marquette at Preston Park.

Jim C. Norton
Raised in Wyoming, Jim Norton grew up watching his grandfather paint. Today, he’s renowned for depicting both historical and modern Native American life in the West.
If you particularly appreciate authentic portrayals of Native American culture, you won’t want to miss Norton’s works. His use of color is both unique and profound among artists of his caliber. And, Jim particularly enjoys depicting his travels throughout
Frank McCarthy developed a passion for art at a young age. He began by drawing dinosaurs and later graduated from the prestigious Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. In the 1960s, he started painting Western scenes for galleries at the urging of friends. His works have also been featured on the covers of paperback Western novels. In 1975, he earned the honor of a full membership in the Cowboy Artists of America.
Award-winning sculptor and painter, Tim Shinabarger, is internationally renowned for his realistic wildlife portrayals. His bronzes can be found in major museums, such as the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, Wyoming. As a native of Montana, Tim was never far from the wilderness during his childhood years. Today, nature is his primary source of inspiration.
As one of the greatest wildlife sculptors of his generation, Tim has won coveted awards such as the James Earle Fraser Sculpture Award at the annual Prix de West Invitational. He won this award four times.
